Last week boxer Amir Khan, 25 popped the question to his beautiful girlfriend Faryal Makhdoom, 20. Their engagement was made official this weekend as Amir gave Faryal a huge diamond engagement ring in front of friends and family at a lavish party.  The party was held in Amir’s home town of Bolton at the Bolton Wanderers’ Reebok Stadium with over 1,000 guests.

The engagement ring is made from platinum and features three enormous diamonds. By the looks on the image the center stone on the engagement ring is an emerald cut diamond, which has been very popular for engagement rings recently. On the night Faryal also gave Amir a platinum ring.

After the celebrations of the ring exchanges Amir tweeted to fans – ‘Amazing day, I’m so tired and my fiance faryal looked so beautiful and was very patient, everyone loved it, I love my ring faryal got me x’ (sic)
